Dubai Is Launching A New Floating Luxury Hotel Resort

A New Floating Luxury Hotel Resort Is Set To Launch In Dubai

Leave it to the world’s most outlandish metropolis to welcome a major hotel chain practically floating into a futuristic tourism industry. The Kempinski Floating Palace, part of the famed luxury Swiss-based hotel company, will open as a floating hotel resort in Dubai, the world’s ultra-luxurious capital.

The new Kempinski Floating Palace, set to debut in 2023, is anchored adjacent to one of Dubai’s most prestigious beach segments on Jumeirah Beach Road. The resort comprises 156 rooms and suites in a main floating building. This structure is enclosed by 12 luxurious residences that not only float but can also be moved to different anchorage places, much like a houseboat.

Aside from the accommodations, guests will enjoy Kempinski’s legendary service, which includes four unique gourmet restaurants, bars, a gym, pools, and, of course, a spa.

The framework of the building is divided into four sections, with a glass pyramid joining them in the centre. Larger yachts can even drive right through the centre of it, thanks to the design. Since the most discerning luxury guests are expected to stay at this resort, there is also a floating helipad and parking for up to 16 yachts next to the main building.

The 12 luxurious villas will be linked by pontoons and will be available for purchase and hotel guests. The two-story luxury residences include a roof terrace and an infinity pool. The villas come with two, three, or four bedrooms, servant quarters, and indoor and outdoor living areas. The homes are equipped with solar panels and are designed to be environmentally friendly, and one of the coolest elements of the villa is detaching from the dock and cruising at a maximum speed of 6 nautical miles.

The new Kempinski Floating Palace will be a unique addition to Dubai’s luxurious lifestyle, reflecting the city’s reputation for luring international visitors. This project is likely to be yet another milestone in the UAE’s already-famous tourism industry.

“We are delighted to be able to offer our guests in Dubai such a first experience from 2023 onwards, combining the destination’s reputation as a high-tech city with the timeless European elegance of Kempinski Hotels”, says Bernold Schroeder, Chief Executive Officer of Kempinski Group and Chairman of the Management Board of Kempinski AG.

“The highly innovative project by Seagate Shipyard convinces not only by its high-end technology but also through impeccable style and design.”

“I am so grateful to Bernold Schroeder and Kempinski Hotels for their trust. It is thrilling to see that for the first time, a brand of the caliber of Kempinski will manage a floating hotel of such magnitude, and we are confident that our hotel will soon be one of the top tourist attractions in Dubai. It will undoubtedly occupy an iconic position among floating hotels all over the world,” CEO and founder of Seagate Shipyard Mohamed El Bahrawy said.
