Tesla is making progress at an exponential rate. The company has literally brought electric vehicles to life and continues to make them more and more impressive. Tesla has been busy in construction of Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai China and from the looks of a drone video that was uploaded by YouTube user, Jason Yang, it seems the construction is almost complete.
Tesla is working relentlessly on making electric vehicles the norm of the day and trying to incorporate self-driving technology into our lives. In fact, the company’s CEO has plans of making a fleet of autonomous Tesla vehicles to be used like the Uber. All of this implies that the manufacturing of Tesla cars needs to be ramped up.
That is why Tesla has been focused on the construction of its Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai, China. It has completed the work at quite a fast pace. The company had announced the deal only seven months ago for the Gigafactory 3 and was able to secure the land only five months ago. However, according to the drone video captured by a YouTube user, Jason Yang, it seems that the Gigafactory 3 is nearing completion.
Tesla had already given its followers a rendering of the completed Gigafactory 3 will look like. The latest drone footage shows that the structure is nearing the rendering that was released by Tesla of the completed building. According to Tesla, ‘it will take roughly two years’ until the company is able to mass-produce with a slated capacity of 200,000 units and ‘then another two to three years before the factory is fully ramped up to produce around 500,000 vehicles per year for Chinese customers.’
We are really excited to see what Tesla has in store for us. We would also love to hear from Tesla if they made use of any exciting technology while building Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai, China. Check out the drone footage and let us know what you think of it!
