Chinese Real Estate Company Scams People Into Buying Houses Using A Fake Lake

Let’s suppose you decide to purchase a house that boasts of a great lake in its garden. Wouldn’t it be amazing to relax in it with your loved ones? The idea sure sounds incredible, right? 200 homeowners in Changsha, China, had the same dream and thought. However, they soon realized that the blue thing in the garden was not actually a lake.

An advertisement in China was created for tricking people into thinking that the houses shown in the advertisement have a lake in a park next to the building. However, as it turns out, it was merely a blue plastic covering that was used to create the illusion of a lake.

Those who bought a house simply because they were impressed by the lake view in the garden were in for severe disappointed and shock. One of the homeowners said, ‘So I’m supposed to be standing in the middle of blue water, which in fact doesn’t exist. There is no rock or plants.’ The response from Changsha Shiji Yujing Real Estate did not delay their response. Their response said that they never actually promised an artificial lake inside the community.

The brochure by Changsha Shiji Yujing Real Estate said, ‘The days pass slowly as if you’ve fallen into Peach Blossom Land, ’ which is a reference to an old fable. Furthermore, the grass block paving in the community was covered using yellow mud and dotted with withered turf as opposed to being covered with grass. Another homeowner said, ‘We’re very unhappy about these grass block pavers. They’re usually used for driveways or car parks. But this is not the car park area. It’s the open area right outside each building gate, and they call it vegetation.’

What would you have done if you were in the place of these homeowners?
