Acer Unveils The World’s First Curved Laptop With Eye-Tracking Technology

All the spotlight at the IFA 2016 were fixed on Acer as it unveiled the world’s first curved screen gaming laptop. The Taiwanese multinational also revealed a trio of latest gaming monitors featuring the eye-tracking technology specified for gaming.

Nvidia’s latest notebook graphic cards have made the idea of ‘gaming on the go’ more appealing than ever. Acer’s latest gaming laptop will ensure you enjoy a novel gaming experience with the powerful Nvidia’s graphic cards.

The Predator 21X comes with a massive 21 inches curved IPS display featuring a resolution of 2560x1080p. If you are yet not convinced to invest in the machine, Acer has collaborated with Tobii to introduce the eye-tracking technology in the new gaming notebooks.

The eye-tracking technology employs IR sensors end dedicated software to do different tasks in a game like taking cover behind an object by glaring at it and identifying enemies merely by looking at them. The G-SYNC frame-smoothing feature by Nvidia synchronises the refresh rate of the display with the output from the graphics card to ensure an immersive and smooth gaming experience.

Under the hood, Predator 21 X is driven by 7th-gen Intel Core processor augmented with dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards for a novel graphics experience. The keyboard comes with customizable RGB backlighting and full sized mechanical keys with Cherry MX switches.

The Acer gaming monitors revealed at the IFA are all Predator branded and come with the eye-tracking as well as the G-SYNC feature.

The 27-inches curved Predator Z271T display flaunts a resolution of 1920×1080 p while the flat-screened XB271HUT sports 2560x1440p. The 24.5-inches flat-screen Predator XB251HQT display features 1920x1080p resolution.

The Acer fans from the EMEA countries will be the first to get their hands on the Predator Z271T that will be shipped in October and will hang a price tag of €799. Predator XB271HUT will be available for purchase in December for €899. There is no word on the pricing and availability of the Predator XB251HQT monitor as well as the Predator 21 X laptop.
