Nick Johnson travelled the world to catch ‘em all, and he has finally captured every Pokémon Go character. Nick kept the Pokémon Go fans posted on his progress via Snapchat and captured his final character in Australia.
The New Yorker is 28 years old and works for a startup called Applico. Nick caught all the North American Pokémon as he travelled around the US. Expedia and Marriott Rewards sponsored the Pokémon Go master to fly off to Paris, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Tokyo to bag all those Pokémon Go critters.
Nick was tipped off by the locals to help him catch all the characters. He was busy giving an interview when he received the tip directing him to find a stealthy Mr. Mime. Nick found the character around midnight as he combed the Paris streets in an Uber.
Nick caught his last Pokémon named Kangaskhan in Sydney in front of Tommy Bahama in the Hyde Park neighbourhood. Kangaskhan is a unique Pokémon found only in Australia and New Zealand.
Nick beat another Pokémon Go enthusiast Peter Joey-Pham who was travelling the world to catch all Pokémon Go critters but was not lucky enough to land a sponsorship to fund his quest. Pham had to pause his search after he was hit by a car.
Nick says that he loved Pokémon Go and will continue to play the game, though less frantically. He is looking forward to bagging all the legendary Pokémon characters that will be released in future.
