Forbes magazine has revealed their list of most valuable brands around the world for the year 2017, and surprise, surprise Apple Inc. has again topped the list for the seventh time in a row.
“Apple’s premium brand produces an average selling price of nearly $700 for its iPhones and helps the company generate more than 80% of industry smartphone profits,” said Forbes Senior Editor Kurt Badenhausen.
The complete list comprises of 100 brands that have a combined value of $1.95 trillion and unsurprisingly the top spots are occupied by tech companies that have become household names for everyone.
“Technology brands continue to rank as the most valuable in the world with nine of the top 15,” said Badenhausen.
Below is the list of top 5 most valuable tech brands of 2017:
1) Apple
For the seventh time in a row, technology giant Apple has topped the list with a brand value of $170 billion. The company recorded a 10 percent gain from last year.
2) Google
The most famous search engine, Google, stood second with a brand value of $101.8 billion. The company grew 23 percent from last year.
3) Microsoft
Microsoft bagged the third position with a brand value of $87 billion. Bill Gates’ brainchild showed a modest growth of 10 percent.
4) Facebook
Yeah, you can stop wondering now! Social media giant Facebook is amazingly the world’s fourth most valuable company; bearing a brand value of $73.5 billion. The company recorded a whopping 40 percent gain over last fiscal year, and there’s no stop in near sight for Zuckerberg and co.
5) Amazon
E-commerce portal Amazon has stood fifth on Forbes’ list of most valuable tech brands, with the online shopping website bearing a brand value of $54.1 billion. Amazon’s growth rate was phenomenal as it registered a staggering 54 percent growth in the last year!
