Things have come a long way since the last time I used them (more than a year). Not only do the products work great now, but the software is greatly improved, and even my older products work better since upgrading them to the latest firmware. I use these in bridge mode linking two networks 1/2 mile apart using external antennas. Over 20 devices are receiving the internet from a single location. The latest WAP54G purchased from here is being used in repeater mode mounted on the side of my shop linked to WRT54G and able to receive 80% signal inside Grandma’s across the road… Can’t beat that and no wires needed. “Setup is easy, all the info is written on the bottom of the router (default admin login, IP address, SSID and WPA password.) the router, in access point mode indeed does let both the LAN and WAN ports work as LAN ports. the speed is excellent and the latency is as good or better than any other dedicated access point I have used to date. the range is good for the physical size, but I don’t think this is a MIMO router (who cares, no big deal). In router mode, it just plugs in, boots quickly and WORKS. A relief that this unit does exactly what it claims to do and does it well, with a little headache. I recommend this; I’ll probably buy another.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

“I bought the TP-Link TL-WA801ND unit intending to use it as a relay to extend the range of my existing wireless access point because it wasn’t reaching all the house reliably and connections were dropping randomly. It worked fine for that purpose but I noticed that the signal strength on the TP-Link was stronger all over the house by itself than the Netlinx was even up close. I turned off the Netlinx and reconfigured the TP-Link to be the wireless access point instead of a relay. What a difference. I get reliable connections everywhere in the house, no drops and good speed.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.
