A torque tester or a torque gauges meter is a quality control device used to calibrate the torque controlled tools like wrenches and screwdrivers. This 2-stage process consists of a strain gauge being deformed which in turn converts this value in electric signals. This value is then, changed to a value of force after subsequent calculations.

“Many cars now use torque angle fasteners for even simple things like suspension. I bought this to work on my 335i since I couldn’t bring myself to use the dial type tool. I needed to replace camshafts, and I knew that just one slip of the dial tool could ruin my day and make me wish I spent the money for this one in the first place. I like how this is magnetic and can be attached to any of my ratchets or breaker bars. I can use it on anything from 1/4 drive to 1-inch drive breaker bars. It is very accurate as long as you turn the ratchet or wrench at an appropriate speed. It seems to work at any speed between 10 degrees per second and 90 degrees per second. If you turn excessively slow, it will read too low, but you would need to go absurdly slow for that to be a problem. Battery life appears to be sufficient, and the backlight is great. Just set it on a very solid surface when it calibrates upon startup. The only problem I can see is solvent resistance. Doing an oil pan gasket, the tool got pretty dirty, so I cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol, which hazed the screen. Be very careful not to wash it with anything harsh, I’m very upset about hazing mine. I didn’t think 70% rubbing alcohol would be a problem, but that’s entirely my fault. Wipe new or windshield repair epoxy seems to fix the hazing. This tool is worth the money. If you work on anything with torque angle fasteners, you owe it to yourself to buy this device. It’s worth every penny for the accuracy, versatility, and ease of use that it offers.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

“I invented this tool in my mind while tightening down the head, and drawing a pull angle on a piece of paper with protractor and pencil. Then I went to the internet and found that someone had tooled, manufactured, mass-produced and made my invention available on Amazon overnight! Imagine that! This tool gets stored with my torque wrenches and is worth the price I paid. Most newer vehicles are calling for torque, torque, angle in their tightening patterns these days. It gets used pretty much every time I install a head.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

“I purchased this tool at a reasonable price to replace head gaskets on a 2004 Chevy Impala. It did the job, but the sticker on the disk that has the numbers was not centred on the tool and was overhanging the side. This is not a big deal but comes on; this device was made in the USA! Someone has ONE job, to put a sticker on straight and couldn’t get it right? That makes me a little sad. The other problem with the tool is that the clamp and cable that enters the side of the device regularly falls out because it isn’t secured in any way. In the end, the tool did what it was supposed to do, but I have higher hopes for product quality when I see something that is made in the USA. Perhaps my expectations are just too high.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

“I just purchased this torque wrench to do some gunsmithing on my AR-15. This tool is perfect for working on guns, bicycles, or anything else where you need an inch/pounds torque wrench. Very easy to “zero” the dial, just bend the indicator arm a bit and check zero, and you are on your way. Also. At $29.95, you can’t beat this price anywhere. I almost purchased an SK version of this wrench for $95.00, but came to my senses and shopped around until I found this wrench. Get one while they are still available!” – Amazon’s Customer Review.
