We wanted something with a low wattage option and this tested at about 350 watts on low and 650 watts on high. Medium is just a fan setting (no heat). We put it at the other end of the trailer (on a heat-resistant cutting board, sitting on a chair) and use a ten dollar remote to turn it on in the morning if we want to heat up the unit for a bit before getting out of bed. (I’ve found that just below the halfway point is very comfortable, but then again, the winters in California aren’t exactly subarctic)
I’d recommend this for anyone with a small area to heat. A bedroom, computer room, sewing room, etc. (mine’s in a room about 12 foot square). I doubt it would efficiently heat a room that was too much larger.
