Remington Leaf Blower ($44.98)

This is Remington 12 ampere electric blower, vacuum and mulcher combo. This 12-ampere motor moves air at speeds up to 200 MPH and air volume up to 350 CFM. It has a high and a low-speed mode with an added cruise control feature and allows a tool-less conversion from vacuum to the blower and vice versa. The power of the fan is excellent and is perfect for sucking leaves and debris. The unit is made of top-quality material and has a sturdy body. The power cord lies at the front of the body creating an awkward position for some people since people are used to having it on the bottom rear of the machine. Changing from vac to blower or blower to vac takes a little muscle but is very easy to do. The attachments fit very securely to/against the main body, which can require a delicate tug or pull to remove.

I purchased this item for my husband because he was tired of raking the leaves in the fall. We have a large lot and many mature trees, so raking all the leaves was quite a choir. Since we purchased this vacuum/mulcher, the work is cut in half. The only downside is that the leaves have to be completely dry before you can use the vacuum. So, if there is a light rain or even a drizzle, you cannot use the vacuum. You have to wait until the leaves are completely dry, which is not always possible in the fall in New England.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

It is very sturdy and light weight. I am 76 years old, and I can handle it with ease. I use it to blow under the refrigerator, stove, behind the piano the ceiling, the heating vents any heavy furniture I blow under and behind. Then I pick up the dust with the sweeper. I feel like my house is spotless when I am finished. I used it first in the house before my husband got a chance to use it in the yard.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

This is WORX WG506, a sturdy but light corded blower. It has a simple assembly and is rated 7.5 amperes with efficient tube design producing 160 CFM air volume. At both speeds, it moves 130 CFM (cubic feet per minute) of air. It has a shielded male receptor for power. The fan is only 6 inches in diameter, and the intake is around 3 inches in diameter. You can disassemble it all and store it in a box. A good buy.

This leaf blower is perfect for most yard jobs. I have used it to blow pine cones, pine needles, and leaves. It has also blown away a few small sticks. Keeping grass off of the sidewalks and the patio is great. The only con is that it vibrates your arm off. No big deal if you use it in 10-15 min intervals.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

When I received this package, my first thought was I made a mistake because it was so small. I opened it and connected to an extension cord and let me tell you, this little blower is very powerful and easy to manoeuvre. Even a very frail person could handle this. I use it to blow my patio and front porch after the gardener mows the lawn. (He does not do too well on a job cleaning) I also use it after washing my car to help dry it. I highly recommend this blower. You can very easily store it anywhere in the house; you can’t do that with a full-size fan. One of the best purchases I’ve made.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

“This leaf blowers is fantastic! It only weighs 3 pounds, but its power is remarkable. It’s not much bigger than a hair dryer. I always put off using my other leaf blower because it’s so cumbersome. This is THE BEST yard tool I’ve ever used!!! SOOOZ” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

Weed Eater Leaf Blower ($79.99)

This is a 7.5-ampere, 160MPH, electric blower with an extremely light weight given its efficiency; 4.5lbs. The unit has an ergonomic design for extra comfort. It is light, and you won’t get tired moving it around. Light and manoeuvrable. Well worth the price.

I wanted to get rid of my Stihl gas-powered blower (took too much maintenance), and thought this might do the trick. Boy, it sure does! I plugged in a 100-foot heavy-duty extension cord (it comes without a cord, which is great–you plug an extension cord directly into the back) and turned it on and was surprised by its power. An adamant stream of air blasted the oak leaves hither and yon. It is light, so you won’t get tired lugging it around, and it doesn’t deafen you or burn you with exhaust gases and doesn’t pour out vile blue oily smoke like a gas blower. Also, you don’t have to drain the fuel and run the carburettor dry for storage. Well worth the money.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

I was tired of not being able to get my gas powered blower to start every time I needed to use it. This one you plug in, turn on, and go. Now I am done long before I would have ever gotten the other one started. This unit is both light, and powerful. It is not as noisy as the gas blowers. We love it.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

Storage is no hassle with it.

Best leaf blower I ever bought. Very powerful on high settings, yet gentle enough on lower settings to blow leaves off of gravel and not displace the rock. Battery life is amazing. I’ve used it ten times since it was first charged, and it still has 50% charge. Wish I had bought this instead of the cheaper $99 junk at the big chain hardware stores. Also, it is ergonometric and well balanced, so I don’t get wrist strain while using it for 1/2 hour.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

Black &Decker Leaf Blowers ($69.97)

This is Black & Decker’s, 12-ampere motor blower and operates as a vacuum as well as a mulcher. It has two-speed selections and can grind up to 16 bags of mulched down to one. You can quickly change the tools to alter between vacuum and blower. It has a noise rating of 68 dBA, features powerful sucking and blowing and is built with strong plastic components. It is light enough to hold or for carrying it around on your shoulder. If the unit gets clogged, it is simple to open and snap back together because occasionally, leaves might get stuck in the suction tube. A good buy.

I purchased this leaf blower/vacuum two weeks ago and am so pleased that I did. Why didn’t I do it five years ago? I have a small yard with several huge oaks and maples hanging over it – there are LOT of leaves. The leaves don’t spread too far, but scooping up rake-full after rake-full is hard on my back. This vacuum is so much easier, and I use fewer leaf bags because it mulches the leaves. It is loud and intrusive, so I try to use it in the mid to late afternoon. I have read other reviews for this and similar blowers that complained that the bags tore quickly. I make sure not to fill over and dump leaves fairly often.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

I am seventy-two and not very strong, but I could use this easily. The power is awesome. I only use the second setting.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.
