Apple introduced the software upgrade in FaceTime at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2018 which also includes group chat features. Previously, only two people were able to video chat but with the new upgrade up to 32 people will be able to chat at the same time.

FaceTime new software upgrade will also support emojis, sticker packs and filters as well. Users can add filters to their face and whoever is in the group chat can see it. The interface has been designed in a way that it can accommodate all the people. People who are in the group video call will appear in the form of tiles on the screen. There is a ‘roster’ on the screen as well which will show everyone else on the screen.

Anyone who wants to talk can move up from the ‘roster’ and can start talking. People can also use emojis and filters in the group chat. iOS also allows you to create customized animojis similar to Nintendo’s Miis.
