Xiaomi Unveils Go-Pro Rival - YiCamera

Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone maker, has taken the veils off its latest gadget; YiCamera. YiCamera is a GoPro like sports video camera which is now on sale in China only at a price of $63.50. The company has been making deals with a number of companies such as Xiaoyi to make a number of devices available under its brand name. This way, Xiaomi is marking its roots as a device maker while also being an e-commerce company.

The camera can capture 16 MP pictures and can also record videos at 60fps 1080p H.264-encoded video while using Sony Exmor R CMOS sensor. The aperture lens is f/2.8 and offers a 155-degree panoramic view. Users can shoot in slow motion or try adjustable time lapse photography. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are incorporated while a companion app allows user to edit and share videos on smartphone. The camera can support memory card up to 64 GB and weighs in at 72 grams while sporting a 1100 mAh battery.
