Watch This Navy Seal Teach You How To Escape If You Are Tied Up

Let’s hope you’ll never need this video, but it is always better to be safe than sorry! Behold a former Navy SEAL Clint Emerson, who is also the author of “100 Deadly Skills: The SEAL Operative’s Guide to Eluding Pursuers, Evading Capture, and Surviving Any Dangerous Situation“, explaining a surefire way to escape, if you find yourself in a bind.

Emerson narrates several ways to get out of the fix, the first one being simply flexing your hand to feel the muscles in your forearm. You can then open and close to expand and contract the tape or a zip tie. By pulling your hands and elbows past the rib cage, you can sheer the binds off. Of course, if you are tied up using ropes, you’ll have to get more creative and use some tools or corner of a wall to cut your way out. Another technique is to take a big breath, and be as large as possible when someone is tying you up. This way you can get smaller when it’s safe to escape and simply wiggle your way out!

There are several other techniques narrated in the video below! I swear, no motivational speaker, or no survival expert gives better survival/life advice than a NAVY SEAL.

On the other hand, if you play this video in reverse, you should always check that the person you are kidnapping has no tools on them/near them. You should also use a chain to tie them up, because everything else will allow them to escape!
