Watch The Two Historic Cape Canaveral Space Launch Towers Get Demolished

The two Cape Canaveral Launch Complex was built to launch Thor missiles in the 50s. The two pads ended up as the launch site for dozens of Delta rockets over the past many decades. Now the complex’s historic launch towers have been demolished to make space for something new. These towers helped to launch several high-profile NASA missions over the years. This included the Pioneer probes, the Spirit and Opportunity Mars rovers. However, in 2011, the Delta rocket launches were moved to Vandenburg Air Force Base. Since then, these two launch towers were unused for more than a decade. Watch the video below:
