You would think the Galaxy S8 or the iPhone 8 were the most hyped phones of the year but what stayed on top was the relaunch of the nostalgic Nokia 3310 $50 budget phone. Unlike the 2000 version of the phone, this one came with a 2MP camera, even better for a basic function phone that packs a month of battery life, right? Have you tried comparing the camera with that of the iPhone 7? If you never considered it, the people at Business Insider have done it, and the results are pretty close to what you could expect.

Here is the comparison of the iPhone 7 pictures with the Nokia 3310 in the same light situations with iPhone pictures on the left and Nokia on the right.

Where would you expect a phone camera to perform its best? The brightest of sunlight, right? Well here it is:

The zoom of the 12 MP iPhone camera definitely picks better details:

Using the Nokia 3310 in low light is a no no!

Using it in a dim emergency light is totally out of the question unless you want random darkness.

Well, using the Nokia 3310 indoors might make your pictures look like they have been photoshopped:

Using the flash in that darkness helps a teensy bit:

Just not enough contrast:

Disappointed? We are sure you are not. The Nokia 3310 is not just meant to take great pictures. It is a little budget phone that brings all the essential features of the phone, and that 2MP camera is just a bonus. Remember the original brick phone? Yeah, that only had the snake.
