Sebastian ErraZuriz is a New York based artist that is known for his long series of functional sculptures. The recent addition to this family is the Wave Cabinet. Yes, the next logical question is; what is Wave Cabinet? As with his other novel creations, ErraZuriz stated that the intention is to arouse curiosity and make the viewers do a double-take when they gaze upon at an object that they can relate to but is behaving quite differently from their experience of it. He says, “I am inviting people to look at one of the simplest forms of furniture design and to forget that we’re talking about furniture, instead to see it as a way of breaking a box.”
