The fine dining experience does not get better than Subsix, named so because the restaurant lies six meters under the surface of the Indian Ocean. The visitors arrive at Subsix via a speedboat. A short dock belies the wondrous place that lies below.

It takes fifteen minutes for the visitors from Niyama resort to reach Subsix and move down the dramatic 3 tier staircase entrance lit by abstract chandeliers from Italy. The unique coral-like entrance leads into the clam-inspired bar. The construction of the bar was completed on land and later it was immersed in the water.

The clam-shaped bar sits in the middle of an awe-inspiring coral reef. The under-ocean effect is reinforced by the sea anemone chairs and soft bluish illumination while the Hawkbill turtles, butterfly fish, Moray eels, parrot fish, and damsel fish swim just a few feet away in their natural environment.

The interior is decorated with capiz shells hanging down from the ceiling above the diners while floor to ceiling glass façade offers an uninhibited view of the marvels of the ocean.
