Last year, SanDisk was able to capture the spotlight by introducing their microSD card that had storage capacity worth 128 GB. The range was titled microSDXC UHS-1 and the unveiling had taken place at Mobile World Congress 2014. This year, SanDisk has been able to increase that 128 GB by a flattering 56% and has launched a new microSD card, SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-1 card (Premium Edition), which has a 200 GB storage capacity.SanDisk Releases microSD with a Capacity of 200 GB

This new card makes use of the same technology as its predecessor, however, by introducing a new design and undergoing a different production process, the company has been able to increase the number of bits per unit. The card is capable of transferring data at speeds of 90MB per second and is targeted at Android devices primarily.

According to SanDisk, the 200 microSD card will be available during the second quarter of 2015 throughout the world and shall be priced at $400.
