As said by Tom Moss, head of Razer’s mobile business, “We didn’t start out trying to make a gaming phone, but rather a phone for gamers. Something you wouldn’t be embarrassed about pulling out in public. And it had to have the highest performance both on paper and in real life benchmarks.”

Equipped with the usual 2017 top-end components, 8 GB of RAM, storage of 64 GB, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, dual 12 MP camera and a large, high-resolution display, the Razer Phone is designed by people from Nextbit. Not only that, but the phone also has very loud stereo speakers, 4,000 mAh battery giving it a much longer battery life and has all the technology of high-performance laptops squeezed into it.

“We leveraged our engineering experience from laptops creating a heat pipe and two layers of thermal shielding, turning the structure of the phone into a heat sync so that you can use your phone in the high-performance mode for a lot longer and avoid throttling,” says Moss.

The phone operates on  Android 7 Nougat along with the latest version of Android 8 Oreo, coming next year.

Almost all of the Android games will run smoothly on the phone, and nearly 20% of these games will utilize the phone’s gaming technology using their uncapped frame rates. The upcoming Shadow Gun Legends and Final Fantasy 15 Pocket Edition and some more are among the games that will be optimised for the phone as promised by the company.

All the people from the age group 15 to 25 are the target audience of Razor.

With big names like Samsung and Apple influencing the phone market, Razer has yet to compete to make a place in the market, and by the looks of it, Razor has made quite an entrance.
