These Heated Gloves Just Met Their Kickstarter Goal Only Days After Going Live

Reaven is a company known for producing different self-heating outdoor accessories for a couple of years now. Their products include vests, hoodies, and sleeping bag liners among others. The company is now working on a battery-powered heated glove. It just launched on Kickstarter recently and smashed its goals in just a few days after it went live.

This is not the first company to produce heated gloves and it probably won’t be the last. But, the reason these gloves are such a hit is that they offer everything one could want from a self-heating glove and that too at a competitive price.

You can opt for either the glove or the mitten option and can get warmth for up to 6.6 hours on a single charge. There is a small button on the wrist that lets you choose from three different heating settings and you can order spare batteries if you plan to take a long outdoor trip.

The fingertips are compatible with a touch screen and an elastic leash keeps the gloves attached if you need to take them off in a hurry. Ravean is using a tough goatskin leather for the palms of the gloves and used 150 gram 3M Thinsulate on the inside. This is a synthetic fibre that keeps the gloves warm even when they are not actively powered.

Perhaps the most attractive feature of the heated gloves is the price. Normally, self-heating gloves cost north of $300 but these start from just $169. Even though there is no guarantee that Kickstarter campaigns will actually reach the production stage Ravean has produced similar products in the past successfully and the company is promising a delivery time around Christmas this year.
