LC 500 Coupe Is The Latest Luxury Offering By Lexus

2012 Detroit Auto Show featured a Lexus’ concept car. The car marked the entry of Lexus into the luxury sedan market. The same concept car has now been realized four years later. The company has unveiled the luxury LC 500 Coupe with a price tag that will be higher than $100,000.

Lexus spent last half decade building the Lexus International – organization of Lexus focused on luxury. LC 500 is the benchmark of the company.

Akio Toyoda, Chief Branding Officer and Master Driver for Lexus said:

“The LC 500 has been an important product for Lexus and me personally. This flagship luxury coupe’s proportions, stunning design and performance make a strong statement about our brand’s emotional direction and will grow the Lexus luxury appeal globally.”

It is quite obvious that the Coupe’s design was inspired by the concept car, Lexus’ LF-LC that debuted in 2012 at the auto show.

The car features a carbon fiber roof and an aerodynamic shape.

It sports a 5.0-liter V8 engine that can crank out 476hp and allows the car to go from 0 to 60 mph in under 4.5 seconds.

According to the press release, the engine makes use of a dual intake inlet to “help improve breathing and allow the engine to produce its fantastic sound.”

LC 500 Couple features the very first in luxury automobile – a 10-speed automatic transmission.

It also sports the Lane Keep Assist to ensure that the driver doesn’t drift out of the lane.

The interior is as amazing as the exterior.

Designers even paid attention to the size and angle of the steering;

“to invite spirited, sporting driving.”

Let’s see how well it performs in the market!
