Here’s How You Can Remove Rust From Chrome In Minutes Using An Aluminium Foil

Rust removal from chrome

Chrome is used extensively in the production of wheel rims for various vehicles. Though the metal is primarily resistant to corrosion, the prevalence of moisture can take its toll and result in the deposition of an unyielding rust. Since it is tough to treat the chrome rims, therefore, the drivers are often left with no choice but to replace the rims.

An ingenious trick to remove the reluctant rust from chrome rims has been shared by a YouTuber. The simplicity of this hack will blow your mind away! All it takes to remove the stiff rust is some Aluminium foil, water and intensive cleaning. Check out the YouTube video describing this hack to get rid of the brazen oxide:

The underlying reaction is triggered by the heat produced by scrubbing resulting in the formation of a mixture of Al-oxide and water, with the ability to dissolve the rust. The water in this solution can be substituted with a soft-drink like Coca-Cola for better results.
