An Indian 12-year-old girl has scored higher 162 in Mensa IQ test, which is more than Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. Mensa IQ test sets the “genius” benchmark at 140, but Rajgauri Pawar has broken all records by scoring a whopping 162, which is two points higher than the celebrated theoretical physicist Einstein and popular cosmologist Hawking.

This young prodigy resides in the Cheshire County, U.S., but has an Indian origin. She sat at the British Mensa IQ test in Manchester last month and lies within the one percent of the people who take the test and score a maximum. She has also set the record for scoring the highest possible IQ for anyone younger than 18!

Mensa is the largest and oldest high-IQ society in the world, and they say Pawar is one of only 20,000 people to achieve the astonishing score around the world!

“I was a little nervous before the test but it was fine and I’m really pleased to have done so well,” Ms Pawar told the Times of India.

“This wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of her teachers and the support which my daughter enjoys every day at school,” her father, Dr Surajkumar Pawar, added.

Ms. Pawar’s school, Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, is also ecstatic at the result.

Her Maths teacher, Andrew Barry, said:

“Everybody is delighted. She is a very well-liked student and we all expect great things from her”.

As a result of the score, Ms. Pawar has been given a place at the British Mensa IQ Society and will enjoy the perks of the exclusive fraternity. Mensa was Founded in 1946 in Oxford by Lancelot Lionel Ware and Roland Berrill, with a mission to

“identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity”.
