Google has revealed its vociferous response to the Alexa-powered Echo, the smart speakers by Amazon. The latest smart gadget by unveiled by the American tech giant at the I/O conference 2016.

Just like Echo, which comes with Alexa voice-controlled assistant, Google Home is also equipped with a virtual assistant. The smart virtual assistant can seamlessly integrate with all the smart devices in your home and control them.

Just like Echo, Google Home can also serve as your entertainment system and music player as it streams music from the cloud. The device comes with Google Cast support and thus, can be used with the other speakers to create a multi-room audio experience.

You can even use it to play video games on your Android TV using Chromecast. Google Home is smart enough to distinguish the voice commands telling it to activate a particular speaker in the home instead of all.

Google Home is the ultimate IoT hub which can seamlessly integrate with all the smart devices in your house including the thermostats, lights, and other appliances. To ensure that Home will not mess up your home décor or the theme of your living room, you can change the base of the device. However, the LEDs at the bottom of the gadget will remain in their place. These LEDs indicate the status of the gadget.

Google Home will be launched in Q4 2016. The company said that the device was revealed at the I/O 2016 to give the developers a taste of the features of Google Home and how they can be used to bring more to Google Home. Home will be compatible with both iOS and Android.
