Borealis Tiny Homes is based in the Canadian city of Prince George, which is quite chilly. Keeping the low temperatures in mind, they have designed a tiny home called the Aspen to ensure that it can withstand the cold weather.

The Aspen measures 24 ft long and has a floor space of 268 sq ft. It is based on a double-axle trailer and is built using structurally insulated panels (SIPs). It has a metal roof, cedar siding and radiant underfloor heating. The inside of the tiny home is finished in locally milled aspen and cedar along with engineered hardwood flooring and bamboo countertops.

The entrance of the house opens into a cosy living room which has a sofa and a desk area. The sofa can be stowed away and also serves as a single bed. There are full-size appliances in the kitchen complete with space for a dishwasher or washer/dryer to be fitted and also has storage space.

Borealis Tiny Homes were focusing on storage space while designing this tiny home and added a pull-out step area where each step acts as a drawer. There is crawlspace under the kitchen floor and what has become a necessity with tiny homes, a small storage loft.
