apple refunding $50

Apple will refund $50 credit to users who paid for the out of warranty battery replacement devices during 1st January and 28 December 2017.  The amount will be paid to the users who have paid the warranty for iPhone battery purchases for iPhone 6 or later devices. This is not the total refund offered by the company but the price is nearly close to the discounted one that Apple is currently charging for battery replacements.

The credit will be given in the form of an electronic fund transfer or will be transferred to the credit card that was used to pay for the battery change service. Customers who are eligible for the refund can contact Apple through email between May 23, 2018, and July 27, 2018, with the instructions on how they can obtain the refund credit. If the user doesn’t receive an email until 1st August 2018, but you think you are eligible, you can contact Apple by 31st December 2018.

The proof of battery replacement service at an authorized store will be required. In-warranty iPhone battery changes are not eligible for the refund. Apple has always been criticized for its old and worn batteries. A report from the founder of Geekbench came which said that Apple has been slowing down the performance of its phones with old and worn batteries. The report said that Apple has introduced updates in iOS more than a year ago which reduced the performance of old iPhones. The phones which were affected by this update included iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. The iPhone 7’s performance was also affected when it was also updated.
