We heard a massive uproar when Apple announced that the iPhone would no longer come with a headphone jack. No matter how much we love the new iPhone 7, some of us just can not live without the wired headphone, and there comes the need for a Lightning-to-headphone jack adapter. The little dongle came free with the new iPhones, but this is certainly not the first time you would require a dongle to connect your Apple device with another.
You can not directly connect your MacBook Air to an ethernet cable, or to another screen, or even be able to import photos from an SD card or a flash drive. The MacBook Air does not come with a USB port and all of this adds up to the need of tons of dongles and Apple doesn’t even make all of those.

If you are thinking of getting all of these for no good reason, the cost is only $857, that too without the taxes. Not to forget that it is almost the same as the cost of an iPhone 7.
