World’s fascination with flying cars is never ending, but more recently that affixation has been taken from the stories and fiction to the reality. From the Dutch PAL-V  to Dubai’s Ehang 184, flying cars or pods are at the cusp of being integrated into the world of transportation. And the latest announcement by AeroMobil about their first commercial flying car is only going to further fuel the fire.

The company will officially reveal their latest collection of car/plane hybrid next week in Monaco and will start pre-orders later in 2017.

According to the company,

“AeroMobil is a completely integrated aircraft as well as a fully functioning four-wheeled car, powered by hybrid propulsion.”

The concept is nothing short of revolutionary, and although we still don’t have any information on the price, specs, etc. the idea itself is fascinating enough to put everyone in a frenzy.

“AeroMobil aims to make personal transportation vastly more efficient and environmentally friendly by allowing significantly faster door-to-door travel for medium distance trips and in areas with limited or missing road infrastructure.”

AeroMobil has been working on this concept for many years, with the revelation of the original concept several years ago while facing many problems along the way. The greatest challenge, after the technicalities of the design, was to create a design that fits within the regulatory frameworks for both cars and airplanes, and it seems like they might have just hit the right balance. The hybrid car/plane will be flaunted at the supercar show Grimaldi Forum in Monaco from April 20 until April 24.
