Adorn 3D makeup pen scans the user’s face and matches the shade with more than 75,000 tones in its database. After the scan has been completed, the gadget sounds a beep to alert the user. Subsequently, the pen prints out the foundation of the exact same color using its pre-filled foundation cartridge that can be refilled for under $20.
The conventional foundation is made by blending blue, white and black pigmentation. However, Adorn claims that it can tap into the infinite spectrum of shades located within these colors. The foundation is comprised of anti-wrinkle peptide Matrixyl 3000, Litchiderm, sodium hyaluronate along with green tea and other ingredients. It is also free of sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrances, and Triclosan.
The ‘skin-smart’ blend of this particular foundation has been designed to suit all kinds of skin; dry, oily and combination. The pen can be used for dealing with the slight variation in skin tone due to changing seasons and sun exposure. The gadget is powered by the rechargeable batteries that have been designed to last for a couple of weeks per charge – however, it is stringent upon usage frequency.
The pen comes with a price tag of $279 but is available from the official Adorn 3D site for $139 for a limited time. It is being offered in five colors; cherry, gold, pink, red, space grey and black.
