A Closer Look At Dodge Tomahawk In High Resolution Pictures

In 2003 at North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan, Dodge introduced the non-street legal motorcycle and named it the “Dodge Tomahawk”. This monster machine claimed to have a top speed of 420 mph (680 km/h). The most impressive thing about this vehicle was not its top speed claim but rather its physical shape. The body was designed by Mark Walters and featured the 500 hp (370 kW) 8.3-litre (510 cu in) V10 SRT10 engine from the Dodge Viper. Unlike most motorcycles, the Dodge Tomahawk has two front and two rear wheels. One interesting feature of the motorcycle is that the two wheels move independent of each other. This interesting mechanical feature gives Tomahawk the ability to countersteer and lean in turns like a motorcycle.

These awesome looking motorcycles were hand-built and were sold for US$ 555,000, back in 2003.
