The 13-year-old Edward Wan from Seattle took exactly 32 seconds, and he bagged the National Math Bee Challenge.

Wan is a student of the 7th grade at Lakeside Middle School and he took the title home by beating 24 middle graders from all over the US. The final 25 had been selected to compete in the grand finale, held in the capital Washington DC. Over a hundred thousand school students participated in the 2016 Raytheon MATHCOUNTS National Math Bee.

By the way, just if you are wondering, the answer is 31. The team representing the Texas state won the first prize in the team challenge.

Edward Wan was awarded a college scholarship fo $20,000 along with a trip to the US Space Camp.
