This $365,000 Pocket Signing Machine Signs Your Name For You

All of us might not need to sign our names daily but celebrities and famous authors spend a lot of their time giving autographs. There now exists a signing machine that can easily fit in your pocket that can sign your name for you. There is just one slight problem. It costs $365,000.

Swiss watchmaker Jaquet Droz just recently unveiled the impressive signing machine at the Baselworld Watch Show after reportedly working on it for the past 4 years. The machine shows mechanical clockwork technology, but rather than telling time, it copies your signature so that even you won’t be able to tell the difference.

The signing machine features a retractable metal arm that comes with a slot for a pen. You can place the pen there, wind the machine up and let the machine do the rest. It can sign your name on pretty much anything you need. However, a user needs to provide their signature to the company so that it can be incorporated into the design when the machine is being built.

Questions were raised about what might happen if the machine was somehow misplaced or stolen. Someone else could use your sign anywhere they wanted. Jaquet Droz claims that there is no cause for alarm as the machine can only be activated by a code chosen by the owner.

The invention does sound pretty handy but the huge $365,000 price tag will keep most people away and they would rather spend a little extra time using their hand to sign than spend such a huge amount on the machine. You can check it out in the video below:
